
The Grodzisko Viewpoint in Lubin is one of the most beautiful viewpoints on Wolin Island – perched on the highest cliff above the Szczecin Lagoon, it offers a unique panorama of the Land of 44 Islands and the backwaters of the Świna River Delta. This place combines history, nature, and relaxation – perfect for both a short coffee break and a full day trip from Świnoujście. The Grodzisko Viewpoint is located in Lubin – approximately 6 km from Międzyzdroje and approximately 23 km from Świnoujście.

The Grodzisk viewing terraces are located on a cliff over 50 m above sea level and offer a wide view of:

✔️ Szczecin–Świnoujście fairway.
You can also observe wild birds here, including the white-tailed eagle – the symbol of the region.
One of Grodzisko's greatest assets is the deckchairs set on the grassy cliffside, from which you can comfortably admire the view of the Szczecin Lagoon. It's the perfect place to take a break, relax, and enjoy the nature and scenery.
Additionally, at the viewpoint there is a café with a panoramic terrace, where you can enjoy aromatic coffee, dessert or a light meal overlooking the water.
📜 History of Grodzisk
This place is also an important historical landmark – an early medieval stronghold (10th–12th centuries) once stood here. Archaeologists have discovered, among other things, the foundations of the oldest church in Pomerania and the remains of stronghold buildings.
🕒 Opening Hours and Season
The fortified settlement operates seasonally, welcoming tourists mainly from April to October. Summer offers the longest opening hours, often until around 8:00 PM, while winter may see it closed.
Ticket prices
Tickets are very affordable and entry usually costs:
– regular: approx. 6–8 PLN
– reduced: approx. PLN 5
– children up to 5 years old – free of charge (depending on the season and the price list on site).
Parking at the viewpoint is usually free.
The easiest way to get there is via the S3 / DK3 road towards Międzyzdroje, and then via local roads to Lubin.
