Standing on the promenade with your back to the center, simply walk east toward the port. This is the last beach entrance before the Świna River fairway. The section is marked with information boards, but there is no fence or entrance locks. Therefore, it's best to determine the zone boundaries on-site based on the markings, not by eye. A few dozen meters further west, the general rules for the entire spa beach apply.
The dog beach is equipped with waste bins and waste bag stations. This is convenient, but bringing your own bag supplies is still useful – during peak season, the dispensers can be empty. The best chance of finding a free space is before 9:00 AM or late afternoon. From the promenade and Słowiański Square, the walk takes about 15–20 minutes at a leisurely pace. When arriving from Wolin, remember that the spa beach and dog zone are located on Uznam Island. By car, you can drive through the tunnel under the Świna River without any additional dog-related formalities. The beach in Warszów and the further sections towards Międzyzdroje are less crowded than the spa beach, and in the off-season, you can walk your dog for kilometers without encountering anyone. Karsibór Island, on the other hand, is a walking and cycling area with views of the Szczecin Lagoon, suitable for dogs who don't thrive in crowds. However, some coastal areas are protected nature reserves, and separate, often stricter, rules apply there.
Midsummer isn't necessarily the best time to take your dog to the seaside. From a dog's perspective, conditions are excellent in May, June, and September: temperatures rarely exceed 25°C, the sand doesn't burn paws, and the beach is deserted enough that a walk outside the designated area is safe. The Baltic Sea is cooler during these months, but for most dogs, this isn't a problem – they'll enter the water briefly, get out, and continue their run. In July and August, you need to plan your day more carefully. Until around 10:00 AM, the beach is still cool and relaxed, and the dog area is almost empty. Between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, it's better to take a break in the Spa Park or your apartment, and return to the water after 5:00 PM, when the sand has had time to cool. Fall and winter look completely different. Off-season, Świnoujście offers wide, empty beaches, a quiet promenade, and virtually no restrictions on pets. During peak season, dogs exposed to the beach during the heat often end up in veterinarians, and the symptoms of heatstroke—excessive panting, lethargy, vomiting, and an unsteady gait—can quickly appear. Short water breaks and regular rest in the shade are more important than spending hours on the sand.
The third mistake is climbing onto the dunes and allowing your dog to dig in them. This is no minor offense: the dunes protect the shore, and damaging them is an offense, regardless of whether there is a sign at the entrance.
